Ericsson '15' Wall Telephone (Original)

260.00
A stitched painting created on calico fabric with deep red embroidered thread. It is layered with translucent silk papers and acrylic paint. This was one of the first wall telephones from the Victorian era - with 15 lines out and with a walnut wood back - inspired by my love of detail and vintage objects. The piece is part of the 'Talkies' collection which documents how we used to communicate in the past.

THE ORIGINAL
- A stitched painting measuring 42.0 cm high and 29.7cm wide (standard A3 proportions).
- Deep red threads are embroidered over natural calico fabric and brought to life with antique rose and cinnamon coloured translucent papers and with acrylic pigments.
- It is stretched on a wooden board and is ready for framing. Sold unframed.
- My signature is embroidered into the artwork.
