This bakery called Forn de Pa Sarret on Calle Girona in Barcelona is one of the few authentic shops of its kind left in the city. Its rich, animated, Catalan Art Nouveau facade and its uniqueness charmed me to create this original textiles piece.
THE ORIGINAL - A stitched painting measuring 30 x 21.1cm. - different tones of blue thread are embroidered over cotton calico fabric and brought to life with translucent papers and acrylic pigments. - It is stretched on a wooden board and is ready for framing. Sold unframed. - My signature and the title are embroidered into the painting.
