Most of my pieces are drawn using embroidered stitches or pen and ink.
I incorporate other materials - papers, wool fibres and paint - bringing them to life.

The small, traditional shops, cafes and bars are some of my favourite Barcelona places to draw.

Welcome to Ninfa Burnham Art.

I'm an artist based in Barcelona, Spain, and originally from the UK. My art is focused mainly on architecture and is inspired by local heritage, capturing places where we live, work and celebrate.
Depending on the subject, I use either watercolour with pen and ink or embroidered stitch with collage. I compose using close-up framing, where the focus is mainly on that subject, with little or no background, so that the subject takes centre stage. I especially love the architectural details found in the older buildings and the character of the smaller, independent shops and businesses.
